I remember waiting in line for 1 hour at a public pay phone to speak to my relatives overseas.  I lived in Jamaica then, and that was the 1980s. One would have to pay exorbitant long-distance charges, or use a pay phone, to speak to relatives out of the country.  It improved when we got cell phones and could use messaging apps like BlackBerry Messenger. Now, there is Facebook, Apple FaceTime, and WhatsApp, where you can communicate with friends and relatives all across the world with just an internet connection at no additional fee. This is technology working for you. What have been some of those memories with the pay phone/long distance fees?
